This morning I spoke at the Digital and Social Media Leadership Forum in Canary Wharf for the Health Futures conversation. It was a brilliant session and we had lots of great insight from a range of experts!
BY PAUL ZOLLINGER-READ CBE
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER AT BUPA
We talked about some of the exciting initiatives Bupa’s working on around the world and how digital and mobile health solutions are transforming our approach to patient-centred care.
– DSMLF Future Health Session. Hosted at Level 39 on 27th November 2015
There were two key things I took away from the discussion: the first is that healthcare has in the past largely been structured around the institutions, but digital rightly enables us to put the focus on the individual. Secondly, that even with all of the technology and digital capability at our disposal, there’s still a need for an emotional, human connection to bring about change in behaviour.
Amazing morning with @BupaCMO #DSMLFsession. Terrific audience… and tough questions 😉 Thanks to @DSMLF team https://t.co/plCVrLm4ut

By making both of these things happen we’ll be able to tackle the toughest challenges in healthcare and enable people to lead longer, healthier, happier lives.
We’ve produced a summary of the discussion on social this morning, which you can view here.
